SHORT FORMAT FOR BREAKING CURSES
- Repent for all sins – personal, family and ancestral, known and unknown – using Da. 9:4-19.
- Enforce the atonement work of the Lord on the cross upon the curses, using the following Scriptures –
Gal.3:13,14
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Col.2:13-15
And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Pray like this –
The Bible says that Jesus Christ hung on the cruel cross and became a curse in my place. Thank You, Jesus! Therefore, I stand upon that atonement work of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and I nullify any curse operating over my life and that of my family members, in Jesus Name. By the Blood of Jesus, I blot out the words of the curse and every handwriting of ordinance working against us through the curse; as well as incantations or wicked pronouncements by anyone at all, at any time at all, for any reason at all, in the Name of Jesus.

4. Ask God to silence the words of the curse, usually made by wicked pronouncements and incantations, by the speakings of the Blood of Jesus.
Pray like this –
Father, thank You for Your thoughts and plans for me which are of good and not of evil, to bring me to that glorious expected end into my destiny. Blessed be Your Holy Name. I ask for the Blood of Jesus to declare now all Your will, purpose and counsel for my life and family, in the Name of Jesus; and let the Voice of the Blood of Jesus silence all the voice of every curse operating over my life and family, in Jesus Name.
5. Deal with the strongmen involved in the implementation of the curse when you have identified them. First pray the short prayer here below and, if need be, later go to the tapes on the particular strongman at Word War College Tapes page and listen to the tapes and deal thoroughly with the strongmen…destroy their altars, pull down their strongholds and deal with their thrones.
Jer.10:11
Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens…
Jer.10:17,18
Gather up thy wares out of the land, O inhabitant of the fortress. 18 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will sling out the inhabitants of the land at this once, and will distress them, that they may find it so.
Matt.16:19
And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Mk.16:17a
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…
Pray thus, violently and vehemently –
In the mighty Name of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, you strongman! (name the strongman or god or idol), hear the Word of the Lord in Jer.10:11, since you have not made the heavens and the earth, I command you to perish now from the earth and from under the heavens, in Jesus Name! Perish from my life and from my family (mention the location of its influence – marriage, finances etc) with all your works, in Jesus Name!
6. Bind the demons in charge, using the work they do. For instance, pray like this…
In the Name of Jesus my Lord, I take authority over you spirit of poverty, barrenness, failure, obscurity, untimely death….. I bind you with chains and fetters of iron that cannot be broken and I cast you out of my life…family…, into the abyss with all your works, in the Name of Jesus.

7. Shut the doorway or whatever access the curse opened into your life for the strongmen and his demons to come in freely to wreck damage.
Pray like this –
That demonic doorway or gate or ladder of darkness or satanic bridge that gave the words of the curse and the strongman with his demons, access into my life, family, destiny, finances, marriage…, I shut you now with the key of David that shuts and no one can open, in Jesus Name. I command the access ladder of darkness to catch fire and burn to ashes, and the connecting bridge to shatter and scatter, in Jesus Name. I seal myself and family off from the kingdom of darkness with the Blood of Jesus and the Fire of the Holy Ghost, in Jesus Name.
8. Make restitution, especially concerning curses placed on a person by God. Pay unpaid tithes with the extra stated in Lev. 27:31
And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.
Repent to anyone you have cheated or disappointed in any way, for instance, business partners, anyone you promised to marry but did not, abandoned spouses and so on. Men must take this very seriously because women do become quite grieved in the spirit and make negative pronouncements when in pain of rejection and these pronouncements do come to pass.
9. Bless yourself with all kinds of blessings in the Word of God. The chapter of the blessings that Moses pronounced upon the Tribes of Israel is a good place to start. See Deut.33:1-29.
10. Determine to fear God and walk with Him and serve Him to maintain the hedge of God’s protection around you and all yours.
Job1:8-10
And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? 9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? 10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
Psa. 91:14-16
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
Ja.4:7,8
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
