A BIBLICAL BIRTHDAY PRAYER

A  BIBLICAL BIRTHDAY PRAYER

This is a powerful and deeply prophetic prayer to use on your birthday to launch you into a more glorious year of life. It is based on The Book of Job, chapter 3, verses 3 to 14 (NKJV), where Job cursed the day of his birth in his deep distress…

3 May this day (state your birth date), be celebrated by all of creation, the day on which I, (your name) was born, and the night in which it was said, ‘A male/female child is conceived’, in the Name of Jesus.

4 May this day be brightened by the glory of the Living God; May God above seek it today and always to fasten His favour upon me; and let His light shine upon me constantly, in Jesus Name.

5 May every darkness and the shadow of death that have claimed my birthday thus far be dispersed NOW by the power in the Blood of Jesus, the Prince of Life; May every demonic cloud that has settled on this day thus far, be blown away by the winds of God; May the blackness of the day that has terrified it thus far, be neutralised by the light of God, in Jesus Name.

6 As for that night in which I was conceived, may the darkness that seized it be healed by the Sun of Righteousness right now. May it always rejoice among the days of the year, and may it always come into the number of the months until I have fulfilled my destiny and my divinely allotted number of years, in Jesus Name.

7 Oh, may that night in which I was conceived never be barren! May joyful shouts come into it, in Jesus Name!

8 May they bless it who bless the day, and may Leviathan, the dragon never be raised against it, in Jesus Name.

9 May the stars of its morning receive the light of God right now; may my day never have to look for light ever, and may it see the dawning of the days divinely allotted to me, in Jesus Name.

10 Lord, I bless Your Holy Name because the day of my birth did not shut up the doors of my mother’s womb and sorrow was hidden from my parents’ eyes on that day.

11 I am deeply grateful to You, Lord Jesus, that I did not die at birth and that I did not perish when I came from the womb. That must mean You have great plans for my life! This day, as I begin another year in the journey of my days, I give my life to You afresh, Son of God; for You to do with it whatsoever pleases You, my Saviour, my Lord and my Master.

12 I bless You that my mother’s knees did not fail to receive me and that I was nursed at her loving breasts.

13 For now I would have lain still and quiet; I would have slept the sleep of the dead and been long forgotten! Then I would have been at rest in an unknown and unmarked grave!

14 Lord, I ask of You today, let my rest rather be with the kings and counsellors of the earth, whom You have appointed and ordained to build Your glorious Kingdom on earth, in the Name of Jesus.

Holy Spirit, empower me from this day, and enable me, more than ever, to press forward towards my higher calling in Christ, that I might take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me (Phil.3:12c NIV)

Let me not be found wanting among those to whom The Father will say, on that wonderful day when I shall see Him face to face –

‘’Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”                                                                                                                                                                               Matt.25:21

I love You, Lord.

In Jesus powerful Name I pray. Amen.
