Leviathan/Dagon/Marine spirits

Leviathan spirit is a massive snake-like strongman spoken of in numerous places in Scripture –

Job 41:1

Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?

Psa. 74:14

Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

Psa. 104:26

There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein.

Isa. 27:1

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Leviathan is a vicious and terrible strongman of destruction, used by the devil to do his most terrible works of affliction when he needs to do damage over a widespread area, affecting numerous lives and families; for instance, when he wants to cause riots, wars, plane crashes, boat mishaps and so on. Leviathan will simply make use of its tail to gather support from as many satanic strongmen and evil spirits as needed to achieve its aim.

Rev.12:3,4

And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. 4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Leviathan was singularly deployed by Satan to bring down all that Job possessed in one fell swoop! And he would have killed Job as well if God did not restrain him!…

Job 1:12-19

We can see that in this case, the dragon made use of –

• Sabeans and Chaldeans on land attacked and slew his servants and stole his oxen and asses and camels
• Fire which fell from the skies (likely from the dragon’s mouth!) destroyed his sheep and slew his servants working with them
• A great wind from the wilderness fell on the house where his children were and the house fell on them and their servants

And in each instance, Dagon left only one servant alive to carry the bad news to Job to let him know it was all deliberate enemy action

That was why God told Job at the end of his travails and lamentations, “Hey! Don’t blame Me, for I Am righteous and do only good! Blame leviathan!” – a summary of God’s lecture to Job when He showed up in Job’s situation, as recorded in chapters 38 to 41 of the Book of Job; and we shall note that God clearly pointed out the real culprit to Job in chapter 41 and described him as a formidable foe whom God Himself deals with.

It’s a water spirit, common in coastal areas, very possessive and quite territorial. He believes everyone along the coast belongs to him and he follows them everywhere and wrecks everything about them if they dare ignore him and turn to Jesus… as though he does any good to those who worship him either! I was once given a revelation when I was in Ghana and we were praying for a childless couple – the Lord took me into one of the castles on the coast and I saw numerous children of varying ages siting there and a massive black snake was watching over them, head reared up behind them! God told me all the children of barren couples are locked up in the castles. You should not then be surprised that leviathan was in charge of the slave trade; stealing away children to far off places. Leviathan hates and attacks children.

In Eze.29, God calls Leviathan Pharaoh, the dragon that lies in the Nile; and it was to this beast that Pharaoh, who did not know Joseph, sacrificed the Jewish baby boys in the time of Moses.

Eze.29:2,3

Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt: 3 Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.

Here it is boasting about the whole of Egypt being its own, and not just the river; and Pharaoh used to go to the river daily to draw power from it…that was why one of the plagues was targeted specifically at the Nile and God turned the water to blood and slew all the fish in it. That must have included the dragon itself.

It is also the python in charge of divination and accusation of Christians –

Acts16:16 (The Passion Translation)

One day, as we were going to the house of prayer, we encountered a young slave girl who had an evil spirit of divination, the spirit of Python. She had earned great profits for her owners by being a fortune-teller.

Rev.12:10c…

…for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

The combination entity of Leviathan and Baal, the Dragon, has horns with which it prevents it victims from moving forward in life. Some snakes even have horns; notably vipers and adders. Hornsare also to abort breakthroughs and physical pregnancies, leading to repeated abortions and barrenness…

Rev.12:1-3 quoted in part

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman…being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered. And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

 This strongman is so strong, so stubborn and so persistent that God always has to personally intervene in the deliverance from this spirit or send Michael the warrior Archangel with the Hosts to the rescue…

Da.7:21,22

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Rev.12:7

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels

PRAYER SECTION

 Preparation

However, before we proceed further, we need to pray a special prayer by which we plug ourselves into the socket of God’s power and charge ourselves for the conflict. To achieve that, I have simply turned two Scriptures into a crucial prayer, asking God to equip us as He did the Lord Jesus for the Ministry of conflict which He had on earth; such that He was able to overcome every satanic contention and relentlessly fulfil His earthly mission successfully and perfectly to the pleasing of the Father Who sent Him. His enemies were not able to stop Him or kill Him…He fulfilled and ended His earthly mission by laying down His life for us.

So, let’s pray –

Job 22:23,30

If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; You will remove iniquity far from your tents….He will even deliver one who is not innocent; Yes, he will be delivered by the purity of your hands.”’

Father God, I present myself to You today as a Watchman on the walls of my family, my clan and my generations, even my nation. I am here before You to stand and cry to You, O Most High God, for complete liberty from the interference of ancestral marine gods in our lives and destinies. I am here not because I am righteous but because of the righteousness of the Lord Jesus our Saviour, our Lord and our Advocate. I repent for my sins before You and ask for a thorough cleansing with the Blood of Jesus, even down to my ancesral and my generational sins so that no sin will stand on the way of my prayers today, in Jesus Name I pray.

Eph.6:10-13

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

 Pray like this….

Our Father, Jehovah the Man of War, I thank You for the opportunity to enlist in Your victorious army as I fight this battle over my life, marriage and ministry and those of my whole family and generations; I enlist in the army of The Man of War because this guarantees my victory. As I go into this war for our total liberty from every captivity of Satan – for this is why Christ died for us – I ask for Your full armour so that I shall identify fully with Your ever-conquering army and fight under Your ever victorious banner of righteousness and love. I thank You, Father, for I know that I shall be fully protected by Your armour and by the Blood of Jesus and the fire of the Holy Spirit and Your mighty Angels of war; and that I shall fight using only the weapons You provide in Your Word, so that having done all, I shall be standing with my feet on the necks of my enemies and those of my family. I decree that we shall not die at the hands of the enemy like Jonathan, we shall not die with the enemy like Samson, we shall not die in place of the enemy like Josiah; we shall not die but live until we are satisfied and have taken hold of and fulfilled all that for which Christ took hold of us to the pleasing of the Father; we shall not die but live until we have fulfilled our destinies and days, in Jesus Name I pray, Amen.  

Isa.11:1-6,9

There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist. “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them… They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea.

 Acts10:38

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Pray like this…

Righteous Father, I ask that You anoint me now with the Oils from the Two Olive Trees in standing in Your Throne Room in Heaven mentioned in Zech. Ch 4; to receive the Holy Spirit power needed for me to face the battle ahead so that full Your Presence will be with me as You were with the Lord Jesus when He walked the earth such that He went about healing all those that were oppressed of the devil like I and my family are presently.

 I ask for The Spirit of the LORD Jehovah The Man of War, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. So that I shall not judge by the sight of (my) eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of (my) ears but I shall be tutored from within by the all-knowing Holy Spirit and will thus be wiser than the enemy and will possess a mouth and wisdom which the enemy can never gainsay; that with righteousness and equity I shall judge the poor and the meek of the earth and shall strike the earth with the rod of (my) mouth, And with the breath of (my) lips (I) shall slay the wicked…that righteousness and faithfulness shall be the girdle of (my) loins so that the peace of God shall be enforced all around me  and my families as I battle for Your will to be done in our lives ; that Your will and Your peace will be enforced on our households and places of work, on our environment and on the nations of (mention your nation); until the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea…in Jesus Name, Amen.

 WEAPONS AGAINST LEVIATHAN –

1. The Hooks of the Lord:

Job 41:1,2

Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down? 2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?

Eze. 29:3-5.

Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself. 4 But I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy rivers to stick unto thy scales, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy rivers, and all the fish of thy rivers shall stick unto thy scales. 5 And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee for meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven.

Pray like this –

O God my Father, the great and mighty God, arise and deliver me and my family from the attacks of this foundational strongman, the serpent, in the Name of Jesus. Release Your hooks into its jaws and drag it out of our lives and our homes and all that concerns us, with all the strongmen and demons and devils in its demonic network; including that foul seducing spirit, the spirit husband/wife present in my life and in the life of any member of my family. I command you all to be dragged out of our lives with the dragon, in the Name of Jesus. Lord, leave them all thrown into the wilderness and command the birds of the air and the beasts of the field to devour them with all their works, according to Your Word in Ezekiel 29, in Jesus Name. Amen

2. The great sore strong sword of Jehovah:

Psa.74:14

Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.

Isa.27:1

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

Jer.47:4-7 NKJV

Because of the day that comes to plunder all the Philistines, To cut off from Tyre and Sidon every helper who remains; For the LORD shall plunder the Philistines, The remnant of the country of Caphtor.5 Baldness has come upon Gaza, Ashkelon is cut off With the remnant of their valley. How long will you cut yourself?6 “O you sword of the LORD, How long until you are quiet? Put yourself up into your scabbard, Rest and be still! 7 How can it be quiet, Seeing the LORD has given it a charge Against Ashkelon and against the seashore? There He has appointed it.”

Eze.29:8,9

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and cut off man and beast out of thee.9 And the land of Egypt shall be desolate and waste; and they shall know that I am the LORD: because he hath said, The river is mine, and I have made it.

This sword is not the same as the sword of the Spirit called Machaira which we use in prayer, but a mighty machete-like sword called Rhomphaia which God Himself wields against the dragon.

Pray like this –

My Father, my Father, my Father! Behold how leviathan rages against me and my family and our nation, saying we belong to him; but it is written in Psa.24:1 that The earth is the LORD’s and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein! Arise in Your anger and great jealousy, O God, release Your great, sore, strong sword against this ancestral dragon and break its heads in pieces, in Jesus Name. Let Your sword search out and locate the kingdom of this dragon under the waters and lay it waste and desolate so that it will never again rise against us, our marriage and anything that concerns our family and nation, in the Name of Jesus. With Your stormy winds and whirlwinds, cut off and scatter all its demonic networking and gang-ups against us, permanently, in Jesus Name.  

3. The Serpent of God:

Amos 9:1-4

I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered. 2 Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down: 3 And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them: 4 And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good.

The dragon is very sly and always has many ‘last cards’ that it has reserved against its victim in case the other strategies of war fail. Behold how it pursued anointed Samson with two women and all manner of temptations before Delilah came on the scene and prevailed against him! The major god of the Philistines is Dagon the Dragon. Remember also in Rev.12:15, how the dragon still pursued the woman with a flood after Michael and the Host have defeated it? And also in verse 17, the dragon still went and made war with the woman’s children who are Believers. So, we shall pray against any further hidden plot it may have against us and the family like this –

Father of Light, nothing is hidden from You, therefore I ask You to release Your serpent spoken of in Amos 9 to locate any helper of the dragon that is hiding and waiting to rise up against me, my family and my nation again, in the Name of Jesus. Let Your serpent search them out in the air, on mountain tops, in holes and cracks of the mountains, on and under the earth, in the forests, in swamps, under the sea and water-bodies and in any part of creation to destroy them with all their works permanently, in Jesus Name.

4. Deal with the vail of the dragon –

Leviathan seeks to cast a veil of its shed skin upon its victim’s spirit so that we will not remember our dreams which God uses to expose him and its works. I also uses the veil to blind those whom he has led astray so that they will not see the error of their ways and will not listen to wise counsel but will continue deeper in their error. The weapon against veils is the Voice of God. See Matt. 27:50,51 –

Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. 51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom;…

Pray like this –

Lord Jesus, I ask that You will call me and my family to Yourself afresh and let the power in Your Voice tear off every vail cast over us by leviathan so that we will see Your revelations more clearly and so that nothing will be hidden from us. I ask that the eyes of those serving the serpent in the family and the nation be open to see the error of their ways and turn to Christ and I ask that any veil covering our glory be torn off, in Jesus Name. Amen

5. Deal with the dragon’s ten horns

Zech.1:18-21

Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.19 And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What be these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem. 20 And the LORD shewed me four carpenters.21 Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

The dragon uses its horns to scatter us from the will of God, to derail our divine promises and seek to abort the ‘pregnancy’ of whatever plans God is incubating in our lives. It is well known that it uses its horns to abort real pregnancy of babies in the womb! The weapons against the horns are Angelic Carpenters who specialise in using carpenter’s tools to break off and fray horns.

My Father-God, in the Name of Jesus, I ask You to release Your heavenly carpenters to fray, to chisel, to hammer, to saw and to cast out all the horns of the Gentiles/dragon which have sought to scatter me and my family from where You planted us and have resisted us from attaining Your goals for our lives according to Your timing for us. Let Your jealousy burn against the serpent and send Michael and the Host to slay that dragon, O Lord, for You are the One who created and called us; and let Your Name be glorified in our lives, careers, marriages and nation, in Jesus Name. Amen.

6. Here we deal with the spirit spouse which is always a serpent. The weapon is God’s jealousy. In Eze.16:4-8, the Lord recounts how He chose us, cleansed us, covered us with His Glory and made us His Brides –

And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water to supple thee; thou wast not salted at all, nor swaddled at all. 5 None eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, to the lothing of thy person, in the day that thou wast born. 6 ¶ And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live. 7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare. 8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

Now pray like this –

My Father, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for Your great love for me and all mine, and how, by the sacrifice of Your Only begotten Son on the Cross, You salvaged us from sin and death and made us Your children. You washed us of all filthiness and placed the beauty and fragrance of Christ on us and also called us to be Your Bide. We are eternally grateful. Now behold how the spirit husband/wife still lays a claim on us and seeks to defile at will! Arise, O God in Your jealousy! Let this spirit husband/wife be set ablaze by Your consuming fire, in Jesus Name. We stand on the covenant which we have with our heavenly Bridegroom, Jesus Christ, and break any covenant and agreement between us and the spirit husband/wife and we divorce and slay every spirit husband and wife in the family, in Jesus Name. Let the spirit house, the wedding garments and tokens be roasted by fire, in Jesus Name. We command death on the strange spirit children and draw a line of the Blood of Jesus between us and the demonic spirit family, in Jesus Name. Amen.

7. Weapon against the slander and false accusations of the dragon –

Leviathan spirit causes lies and accusations to be released against us and is called the accuser of the Bretheren in Rev.12:10. The weapon against that is the winnowing fork or the fan in the hand of the Lord…

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

Matt.3:12 NLT

He is ready to separate the chaff from the wheat with His winnowing fork. Then He will clean up the threashing area, gathering the wheat into His barn but burning the chaff with never-ending fire

Pray like this –

Lord Jesus, release Your winnowing fork and winnow all words of slander and accusation against me and my family into Your judgment fire; let the lies be consumed and let the truth remain for our vindication, for the sake of Your Holy  Name we bear. Amen

8. Recovering what the serpent swallowed –

Job 20:15

He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly

Jer.51:44

And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall

Pray like this –

Father God, Dagon has swallowed so much from me and my family. He has swallowed my dreams and aspirations, my marriage, my children, my career, my finances (name more if any) and I ask you to punish this serpent and command him to vomit all he has swallowed, in Jesus Name. Cast all that belongs to us out of his belly and restore them to me and my family, and never allow that affliction to rise up again in our lives, in Jesus Name. Amen. Thank You, Lord

9. Take the Passover/Communion Meal.   Spend quality time praising the Lord for victory and never stop praying until the Lord shows you that He has given you total victory. There must be physical signs of victory to guide you: What were the signs of dragon attack that you saw that drove you to your knees in warfare? Pray until you see them reversed, in Jesus Name!
